Pier Park lies just north of downtown Portland Oregon. Pier Park has one of the most beautiful and challenging disc golf courses the pacific northwest has to offer.
Pier Park's Disc Golf course was established in 2003 and has quickly gained status as one of the premier courses in Oregon. It offers 18 holes equipped with Mach II baskets and Fly-18 rubber Tee Pads. As far as the setting goes, well, its like a disc golfers dream. Tight technical gaps, elevation changes, and the numerous large trees make for a great day out on the course. The course offers some of the best fairways around. The rough here consists of low lying vegetation lost disc's are easy to find for both beginners and pros alike.
Pier Park's layout is such, that once hole 3 is meet, the outside world disappears, leaving a golfer with a feeling of serenity, amongst the old growth cedar trees.

Historical Information:
The park was named for Stanhope S. Pier, who served as a Portland city commissioner in the late 1920s and as acting mayor in 1931. In 1930, Commissioner Pier proposed several improvements, including a pool in Albina, the expansion of Mt. Scott and Lents Parks, and the development of Pier Park in the style of Laurelhurst, then considered the most beautiful park in the city.
